Premium, Turnkey Interior Design throughout Yorkshire and London

So what is
Turnkey Interior Design?

We decided long ago that designing something truly fabulous for our clients and then leaving them to get on with it just wasn't for us. Our clients typically don't have the time to deal with all the suppliers and trades that are needed to bring our designs to life, nor do they have the design skill to bring together the different colours, textures and patterns that we love to include in our schemes and that are critical to the finished scheme.

So "design only" just didn't work for us - instead, we get stuck in and do the hard work ourselves. We design the room(s), source everything, deal with all finishing trades, suppliers and bespoke manufacturers, consolidate everything until it is all ready to be installed, bring everything to site in one go, and fully and completely bring the design to life, dressed and finished with minimal fuss for our clients.

All working to an agreed budget, which includes design fees and costs too, maximising value for your investment in your home.

This is what we do best.

What is a Typical project
for us...

Clients usually come to us because they want a complete redesign, with majority new items, and they want someone else to deal with it from start to finish, with minimal involvement from them.

This could be a lounge, a bedroom, a whole home, a commercial space, place of business, just about anything. We have helped our clients with all of these.

We always start with a chat to discuss the project, any particular issues you are having that need solving, how we might be able to help and how our process works. Then once a budget is agreed we produce a concept design - when you are happy with our design and costings, just leave us to it and we will do everything else to bring the design to life.

Minimal involvement is required from you, but we will of course keep you in the loop as we progress through the project to completion.

Then it's yours to enjoy, stress free.

As part of this Service we always...

  • Start with a chat to understand what you want to achieve, what issues you might be having with your existing room(s) and how we can best help,

  • If you are happy with our approach and want to work with us, just pay your Design Deposit and we will get to work on concept design(s) based on our understanding of your requirements, working to the agreed budget,

  • We will present our concept design(s) to you for feedback and then produce a final concept design & costings for the project for final sign off,

  • Pay your Project Deposit and we get to work on Project Implementation, sourcing and procuring everything, including finishing trades and FFE,

As part of Project Implementation we...

  • Engage, co-ordinate and manage our trades,

  • Consolidate deliveries into storage until required and then deliver to site,

  • Position or install items in the room(s),

  • Dress it all to achieve the design intent and desired look,

  • Take away all packaging and deal with any issues, such as returns due to damage,

  • Leave you with a complete room(s), all dressed, styled, finished and ready for you to enjoy.

  • Can you help me with curtains & blinds, or a new sofa, or do you only do full projects?
Absolutely, we can help you with custom and bespoke upholstery, made to measure curtains and blinds, and source just about any piece of furniture you might want for your home. We are very happy to help you with just one blind, one set of curtains or a beautifully crafted bespoke sofa.
  • Do you only work locally? I am not local to you but would love your help with my project.
We would absolutely love to help you and as long as the project fits for us and we are a fit for you, why wouldn't we? We have worked all over Yorkshire and would absolutely consider working anywhere in the UK, into Europe and even further afield.
  • Your projects look great and I would love to come and talk to you about mine, but my budget isn't huge.
We work to your budget - yes some clients have high budgets and some clients have lower budgets, but as long as your budget is reasonable for what you want to achieve, we can usually help. Just drop us an email, call us, or book an appointment and lets have a chat.
  • Can you help me with my bathroom or kitchen?
Yes we can. We have designed many bathrooms, powder rooms, kitchens and utility rooms for our projects - some of our clients just want something 'a bit different' and feel that they can't get that just going to their local bathroom or kitchen company. We can produce designs for your builder and trades to work to, fully documented into working drawings. We don't offer our turnkey service for bathrooms and kitchens, however we can work on a "design only" basis for these, which usually works best as part of a whole house project.
  • I am renovating, can you help me with layouts, electrical plans, space planning and things like that?
Yes we can. We have helped a number of clients undertaking major renovations, including space planning, working out completely new layouts and configurations, the design of kitchens and bathrooms, electrical and lighting plans and just about anything else you need. We have an in-house team that can put together drawing packages for builders and trades to work to.
  • When is the best time to engage an Interior Designer?
As early as possible - the earlier you engage us, the more we can help you and the better the end result will be. This is especially true when you are doing a renovation or are building a new home - if we come onboard early in the project, we can help you with things like space planning, room layouts, where to run services, electrical and lighting plans, floor finishes and so much more. If you engage us after you have done all of those things you risk ending up with a very compromised design and certainly won't get the best result you could have had.
  • You are open by appointment but I only want some new curtains
We open by appointment because sometimes we need to be on site or at a meeting, so we can't be 100% sure that the studio will be open. However, there is generally someone in the studio between 9am and 4pm Tuesday to Friday and you are more than welcome to pop in. If we can help you on the spot we will, however we would prefer that you make an appointment because that way we know to expect you and can make absolutely sure that we can help you at that time.
  • What is Turnkey Interior Design?
This is what we specialise in and it is where we feel we get the best results for our clients. Working to an agreed budget, we design your room, or space, or whole house, and we deal with everything start to finish, so you don't have to. We engage and manage the finishing trades, design any bespoke items, source absolutely everything, amalgamate deliveries of all items into storage until we are ready to install, deal with any issues with suppliers or trades, and then deliver and install everything in one go. We dress the room(s) with accessories, greenery and soft furnishings and then hand over the finished project to you to enjoy.
  • Do you offer this service for just one room?
Yes, absolutely. We have helped our clients with lounges, bedrooms, dining rooms, games rooms, party rooms, hallways and so much more. Although we love to help you with your whole home, we are more than happy to work with you on one room.
  • How far in advance do I need to book you for this service?
As we are boutique practice, we can only work on a few projects at a time - we want to make sure that every client gets the absolute best from us. That being the case we like to advise clients to contact us to book in their project early as they possibly can.
  • How much would it be to completely change my lounge?
That is a tricky question to answer, and we have worked on turnkey lounge projects from £15,000 to £50,000, but generally we say an average project would be around £25,000, depending on size, exactly what is needed, whether we can work with any existing floor finishes or pieces of furniture, how much of it will be completely bespoke, and things like that.
  • I am building a new house, can you work with my architect and builder?
Yes we can, we can work alongside you and your team and can help with space planning, overall and individual room layouts and configurations, the design of kitchens and bathrooms, utility and boot rooms, design electrical and lighting plans, floor finishes, feature ceilings, design for integrated curtains and blinds, smart home systems, and just about anything else you need. We have an in-house team that can put together drawing packages for builders and trades to work to.

  • I only need one pair of curtains, do you do that or do you only do whole houses?
Yes of course, we carry a good variety of fabric books from a number of high quality fabric houses and can help you with made to measure curtains and blinds, whether that is one set for one room, or curtains and blinds for every window in your house. We can also supply and install curtain poles, motorised curtain tracks and headrails for blinds, and other items of bespoke soft furnishings, such as cushions, bed throws and runners and much more. Just make an appointment to get started.
  • What sort of upholstery do you offer?
We work with a range of upholsterers and can help you with sofas, chairs, dining chairs, headboards, complete beds, ottomans, footstools and much more. With designs from the very traditional, right through to modern and contemporary. We carry a wide range of fabric books from leading fabric houses and can design something custom, just for you. If you want something completely bespoke, we can absolutely do that too, as we do for a number of our projects. From giant 'U' shaped sofas for cinema and TV rooms, to ornate feature headboards.
